Wilito

After the passing in June of William Miranda Marín, the mayor of Caguas, fierce campaigns were started to try and replace the beloved progressive leader. One by his son Wilito and the other by Conny Varela. Here Wilito is seen in a caravan through the neighborhoods of Caguas. Covering this event, it was obvious that his charisma and the legacy his father left gave him a connection to the people. In my opinion, its not surprising that he won. (Chris Gregory/El Nuevo Día)
